Why is Color Theory Confusing?

.

I think the names of the pigments and all of the '' made-up'' names some manufacturers assign to colors they produce - thats what gets us lost.

.

What is "Sky Blue" anyway?

.

The fact is color theory is based on generic forms of colors - Red, Blue, Yellow, etc.

.

The results of the mixed color are dependent on the actual pigments used:

Mixing red +yellow to produce =orange 🔶

.

If you mix (Alizarin Crimson) Red + (Cadmium Yellow) =you will get 'dark' Orange

.

The basics of Color Theory you should know to get your colors right:

🔸HUE

🔸VALUE

🔸TONE

🔸SATURATION/INTENSITY

🔸COLOR SCHEMES

How To Know When An Artwork is Finished?

.

If your work is in Color, there are a few questions that you can ask yourself in analyzing the work...

.

✔️ Are the colors harmonized?

✔️Is there a specific color scheme?

✔️ Are colors distributed throughout the composition?

✔️ Do the colors help convey the mood?

.

Color is powerful - and should be optimized if it's used.

.

Disjointed use of color can make an artwork look flat, unnatural, and unfinished. But when used effectively, color can have an opposite harmonious and finished effect.

.

Try harmonizing the colors that you use by simplifying your palette or by implementing a specific color scheme.

.

Colors will help communicate your message or mood✨

.

Use applications or software to give you information on the name of the color or its code.

Color 💠 Marketing

.

Behind every famous brand, we see familiar and recognizable colors. We all know that big yellow M sign = McDonald's

.

A combination of warm colors like red and yellow increased heart rate and hunger.

.

In marketing and business, color is an emotional cue.

.

Color - helps us decide what’s important and what’s not. That’s precisely why, if you are a marketing professional, designer or artist you need to understand what colors mean to people

.

This is what makes understanding color psychology so important for the success of any business and content.

.

Color is an essential tool because it has an impact on how we think and behave. Color directs our eyes where to look, what to do, and how to interpret something.

.

We don’t all react the same way to colors, as we all have previous experiences with colors from significant events, cultures, people, and memories. However, there are a few generalities about how people respond to color, and that’s what we’re going to look at in the Colorblind Guide.

Bull Is Colorblind🐂

.

The madator's red cape doesnt need to be red to provoke the Bull.

.

The red color hides splatters of blood from the audience during the finale stabbing🚩

.

So bulls don't show any aggressive behavior when it shows Red color. It's all about the movement of the cape and the bullfighter that makes the bulls so angry.

.

Bulls have one of the most common types of Color Blindness - Red/Green = Deutan type.

.

Interesting fact for today.

"I remember once when I was picking strawberries, I found a few in the bush, and went to my mom, who thought I just wasn't trying hard enough"

.

She eventually came out to do it herself and found a whole bunch more and I couldn't believe it - -They hadn't been there!!

.

Only later she realized it's because of my color deficiency." - "Life Of One Colorblind Man" -

.

What Color is Strawberry?

.

Most of us would say Red, but do we all see the same red?

.

Color vision depends on our eyes and brain working together to perceive different properties of Light.

We see the natural and artificial light that illuminates our world as White, although it is a mixture of colors that, perceived on their own, would span the visual spectrum from deep blue to deep red.

"The Eyes are the window to your soul"

A person's eyes are one of the most interesting and complex parts of our human body.

.

Why are some eyes different in color? What determines our eye color?

.

The colored part of our eyeball is called Iris, and the color is determined by the pigments know as Melanin (located in Iris cells).

.

How much Melanin is in our Iris cells determines what color our eyes will be. For example, a lot of melanin will give us darker eyes, such as Brown. Very little melanin will result in lighter eyes, such as light blue.

.

There are many possibilities of eye color on the spectrum. While many people think that eye colors are often simply just blue, green, or brown, there are a multitude of colors that fall on a large spectrum - from the very lightest blue to the deepest, darkest shade of brown.
